FK Unud Supports Tourism Revival Through Travel Health and Wellness

Bali is one of the main tourism destinations frequented by foreign tourists, so it is important for practitioners and academics in the health sector to broaden and deepen their insights and unify perceptions regarding travel health and wellness with the aim of preparing for an optimal tourism revival. .

Supporting this goal, the Travel Medicine Unit in collaboration with the Undergraduate Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University held a webinar with the theme "Tourism Revives with Travel Health and Wellness" in a hybrid manner with the main location point being the Prof. Room. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah, FK Building, Denpasar. (14/10/2022)

Guided by the moderator and Head of the Travel Medicine Unit, Dr. dr. Made Agus Hendrayana, M.Ked., this webinar presents 3 speakers, namely:

1. Dr. Irma Rahyuda, A. Par., M.M., M.Par., M.Rech.,

2. dr. I Gusti Ngurah Putra Eka Santosa, M.Fis., AIFO-K., and

3. Govinda Vittala, S.Ft., Ftr., M.Fis

This event was attended and opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic and Planning Affairs, Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp. OT(K) who in his speech really appreciated and welcomed the holding of this webinar because it can support the vision and mission of the institution, namely to compete at the national and global levels.

"The Travel Medicine Unit is one of the flagships of the Faculty of Medicine and is well known outside Bali, and many institutions have even carried out comparative studies. We hope that in the future the Travel Medicine Unit will continue to improve institutions and Bali in the future. Travel Medicine must appear in the strategic plan Faculty of Medicine so that what is our vision and mission can be carried out, namely to compete at the national and global levels and don't let us at Unud Faculty of Medicine become spectators while other people master travel medicine," he said.

The event which was attended by 226 participants was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Information, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, MPH., Ph.D, Study Program Coordinator, Head of Department, and lecturers of Physiotherapy Undergraduate Study Program and Physiotherapy Professional, all members of the Travel Medicine Unit, medical staff, students, and the general public.
